6 In a Row But There's Still Work to Be Done

The Invisible City Sneaks are starting to look like the championship team they were last year. With a 98 to 84 win over the Los Angeles Lakers last night, the Sneaks wrapped up their recent road trip with an 8-2 record. Not bad, not bad at all but there's still plenty of work to be done defensively. Gar Flood had 16 rebounds last night and went 8 for 12 from the field but the team failed to capitalize on the fast break points. The Sneaks gave up 6 turnovers and shot for a mere 50% from the line. Still, with their next three games at home against teams under 500. Things could be worse.

Jon Centre Learns a Lesson

An unknown Ice-Goat lands a disabling check. Reds' power forward Jon Centre.

When the Fake Hockey Reds came into town last night for an exhibition game all eyes were on Jon Centre. The hulking power forward was definitely the man to watch. The Invisible City Ice-Goats handily won the game 23 to 1 and held Jon Centre to just four shots on goal. They also injured four of the Reds' players – Rick Leftwinger and Sam Defense are probably out for the season and Pavel Rightwinger most certainly his career. But the real story came after the game when Jon Centre went for drinks at the trendy club Lights Out. He ordered up a $400.00 bill and then just split without paying. An eyewitness claims Centre waited for the bill for what seemed like a long time and when no one showed up he decided to leave. Well, two months on an Invisible City penal farm should give him plenty of time to accustom himself with our city's way of life.
